Big Broker Turnout For Debut of The Columbian’s “Crown Jewel”More than 200 Chicago area brokers attended the April 25th grand opening of the new Penthouse Collection of luxury residences at The Columbian. Co-hosted by Chicago Agent Magazine, guests were offered complimentary “head shots” by Chicago Agent’s cover photographer. “Appointments for the photography session were scheduled from 4-7pm in one of our new models on the 45th floor. Invitees enjoyed great food and refreshments while taking in the most amazing views in Chicago”, said Kay Varga, Director of Sales with Garrison Partners, sales and marketing consultants for the development. “Our guests came for the photo shoot and stayed for the chance to see our fabulous new models before we debut to the public”, said Varga. The Penthouse Collection includes nine exceptional residences on floors 40-46 that have been renovated and re-configured to give the floorplans a more open feel and fexlibility of space. According to Ms. Varga, the many positive comments and feedback from the Brokers who attended the event was unprecedented. “It was very nice to see floor plans with some separation of space…. It was refreshing to see some variety of floor plans”, wrote Patti McDonald with Fresh Horizon Realty. Alexis Eldorado of Eldorrado Chicago Real Estate added, “I think the building is an architectural jewel sitting on a very high-energy corner in downtown Chicago. The location and views were wonderful, and the layouts of the units I saw were very well thought out, as well as the upgrades. I also liked that the noise level was hardly audible. Some high-rise buildings tend to be loud. The sizes of the units were also very spacious and elegant. The event was fantastic and I am coming back with a buyer next week. It was a happy crowd. I thought the building was beautiful on the inside and out. I like the large rooms, large closets, and ample use of windows. The build-out was very nice. I thought the units were priced right also. I have seen all of the building amenities, and I think they are great. I like the ability to ingress and egress the lobby from both Roosevelt Road and Michigan Avenue. I think the security is excellent, and the fitness center and rooftop deck with the dog run and water source are all superb. The pricing is excellent and the assessments are phenomenally reasonable. The event was wonderful… and I found myself wishing the line moved more slowly so I could watch everyone get snapped…The condos I visited were beautiful and I have a couple of buyers in mind for possible showings.
