Mutual of Omaha names Garrison Partners as Real Estate Consultant for Midtown Crossing
Chicago based Garrison Partners has been awarded the sales and marketing assignment for Midtown Crossing, a Mutual of Omaha development in Omaha.
The $300 million mixed use development located in Omaha’s Midtown neighborhood is now under construction with the first deliveries slated for fall of this year. With approximately 300 condominium residences, and 200 rental apartments, Midtown Crossing will be the largest for-sale offering in Omaha’s history. Other key attributes of the development include more than 220,000 square feet of space for restaurants, shops, hotel and entertainment venues, parking for more than 3,000 vehicles and an expanded and revitalized 7-acre Turner Park. “The recent renewal of Turner Park as the symbolic gateway to the neighborhood and the new development is exciting not only for future residents of Midtown Crossing, but all of Omaha as well”, says Garry Benson, founding Partner of Garrison Partners.
Midtown Crossing will offer a 24/7 lifestyle for its residents with amenities such as Prairie Life, a 31,000 square-foot executive fitness center, as well as an upscale movie theatre, a 15,000-square-foot urban grocer, and a Westin Element hotel on site. Midtown Crossing will also feature shops, fine and casual dining, entertainment and services.
“Midtown Crossing offers buyers the opportunity to live an upscale, urban lifestyle in the Midtown neighborhood,” said Keith Bawolek, Executive Vice President with Chicago-based ECI Investment Advisors, development advisors for the property. “The development is perfectly located with stunning views of the city, as well as easy access to all the terrific restaurants, entertainment venues and cultural activities in Omaha.”
“The project offers a great juxtaposition of old and new, with the exterior including both traditional and modern architectural elements, while the location provides a blend of park-like serenity and city energy. It’s truly a unique living experience”, says Jim Nolan of Mutual of Omaha. “Midtown Crossing provides us with an opportunity to continue the renaissance in the Midtown area,” says Nolan.
With the project nearly 90-percent complete and the first deliveries approaching, Cory Robertson, Garrison’s real estate consultant in charge of the sales and marketing efforts, says sales inquiries have been strong. “We’ve had a burst of hard hat property tours and have written several purchase agreements during our first few days of operation. Plans are being finalized for a fabulous fall VIP reception for the newly designed sales pavilion and models,” says Robertson. Both models showcase the designer finishes that are included in each residence, such as hardwood flooring in the main living areas, gourmet kitchens with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and luxury master baths. Other amenities at Midtown Crossing include heated secure garage parking, state-of the art security system, elegantly appointed hospitality/meeting room with full kitchen, and rooftop garden.
